EFFECTIVENESS OF THE ABC-VEN METHOD AND THE HANLON METHOD IN DRUG AND PHARMACEUTICAL SUPPLY MANAGEMENT: A NARRATIVE REVIEW

Abstrak

This research aims to determine the effectiveness of the ABC-VEN method and the Hanlon Method in managing drugs and pharmaceutical supplies in the health industry and in health facilities such as pharmacies, hospitals, health centers and other health facilities. This study uses a narrative approach from several accredited articles that meet the criteria. A search for this literature study was carried out using Google Scholar with the keywords "drug management using the Hanlon method or ABC-VEN method" and obtained search results of 229 articles related to the Hanlon method and 333 articles related to the ABC-VEN method. Articles were filtered according to the criteria and 5 articles were obtained each. The ABC VEN method and the Hanlon method have been proven to provide effectiveness in drug management in health facilities and have great benefits in drug management and determining problem priorities for improvement strategies in drug management so that they have a positive impact on improving the quality of health services and the health industry.
