About the Journal

Focus and Scope

Kasaba: Jurnal Ekonomi Islam Focuses on Islamic economics and finance, with the following scope:

  • Islamic economics, covering both microeconomics and macroeconomics, based on Islamic values.

  • Islamic finance, spanning Islamic banking, non-banking sectors, and Islamic social finance—including zakat, infaq, sadaqah, and waqf.

  • Jurisprudence (Fiqh) studies related to Islamic economics and finance.

Peer Review Process

The peer review policy of Kasaba: Jurnal Ekonomi Islam is as follows::

  • Every submitted manuscript will be reviewed by two reviewers.
  • The evaluation process employs a double-blind review system, ensuring that both the reviewers and the authors remain anonymous to each other.
  • During the review process, reviewers evaluate the alignment among the title, abstract, discussion (findings), and conclusion. Additionally, they assess the novelty, scientific impact, and references used in the manuscript..

Feedback from peer reviewers will serve as a consideration for the Editor in making one of the following decisions:

  • Accept Submission
  • Revisions Required
  • Resubmit for Review
  • Submit Elsewhere
  • Decline Submission

An article may be rejected for publication due to various considerations, including:

  • The article falls outside the scope of the journal.
  • The article does not adhere to scientific writing standards or the author guidelines.
  • Fundamental methodological flaws.
  • The author refuses to make revisions suggested by the peer reviewers without a logical justification.
  • There are indications of plagiarism exceeding 30%..

Publication Frequency

Kasaba: Jurnal Ekonomi Islam published twice a year since 2010 (June and December).
