The research method employed is qualitative approaches. The findings indicate that the implementation of the Merdeka Curriculum has had a positive impact on student learning. Standardized exam scores and literacy assessments show consistent improvement throughout the implementation of the new curriculum. Teachers also report that students demonstrate increased interest in learning and significantly enhanced critical thinking and creative abilities. However, the evaluation also identifies several challenges encountered in implementing the Merdeka Curriculum. One of them is the need to provide more training for teachers in designing and implementing project-based and contextual learning. Additionally, additional resources and adequate support from the government and relevant stakeholders are required to implement this curriculum effectively. In conclusion, despite many challenges that need to be addressed, the implementation of the Merdeka Curriculum has proven effective in enhancing the academic achievements and literacy of elementary school students.
